Appointment of Rev. Nicky Pledger as Vicar for St Mary's Church, Hitcham, Burnham
On Sunday 23th April 2011, Archdeacon Karen Gorham was pleased to announce that our Patron, James Cook, has appointed Rev. Nicky Pledger as the new incumbent of St. Mary’s Church, Hitcham, Burnham.
Nicky has, until recently, been Assistant Minister at St. Andrews, Chorleywood and brings a wealth of life experience with her. On the 5th September we will be welcoming Nicky with a formal Licensing ceremony led by the Bishop and Archdeacon.
Meanwhile, the Diocese will be renovating the Vicarage during the summer, and we have promised to freshen up the paintwork before Nicky and Alan move in.
Now is the time to start thinking about Burnham Lighthouse 2011 held in July, by visiting the website at www.lighthouseburnham.org.uk and complete your application form ONLINE. Can’t get easier than that! There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer, however much time you have to offer.

There will a Garden Tidy- up at the vicarage, before the spring weeds take over! Come along on at 10.00am with gardening tools - refreshments will be provided!
